Ferni is ready to take you on a journey into FOOD and FITNESS. We'll look at how food and fitness work together
to make you the person you are. This time in your life is a busy time. Perhaps you are meeting new friends, learning new things
and becoming more responsible for your daily decisions. These are some things to think about as you travel on the journey.

Having a healthy lifestyle is
a choice each of us needs to make, and good health is not an accident. With the proper exercise and eating habits,
one could life a life virtually disease free.
Proper exercise may consist of walking, working in your garden, playing with your children or grandchildren, hiking,
biking or running.
Were you aware that over 62% of Americans were overweight and that 34% were classified as clinically
obese?
Obesity had become a health crisis in not only the U.S., but in much of the Western world.
Our change of diet to high fat fast food diets that are of low nutritional value, coupled with a more sedentary lifestyle,
and a depletion of nutrients and minerals from our over planted soils all contribute to this crisis.
While 50 years ago, dietary supplements, such as, multiple vitamin and mineral tablets, additional dietary fiber, etc.
were not required because we were able to obtain the necessary nutrients from our normal diet, that is no longer true.
