Statement of Faith
We Believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word
of God.
2Sa 7:28 And now, O Lord GOD, thou [art] that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised
this goodness unto thy servant:
We Believe there is one God, eternally existent in three
persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jhn 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.
Mar 9:7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This
is my beloved Son: hear him.
We Believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus
Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, bodily ascension into heaven,
and His personal return once again in power and glory.
Jhn 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I
come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one,
as we [are].
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name
Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
1Pe 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
| 1Pe 2:24 |
|
Who his own self bare our sins
in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. |
Act 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood
by them in white apparel;
| Mat 24:30 |
|
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power
and great glory. |
We Believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy
Spirit is absolutely essential. That salvation cannot be gained by human effort, but only through God's grace in the redemption
He provided in Jesus Christ, a redemption which is responded to by faith and which leads to a life devoted to obeying God.
Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which
liveth and abideth for ever.
Eph 2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
Rom 3:22 Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that
believe: for there is no difference:
We Believe in following Christ in Baptism. An outward sign of an inward commitment.
1Pe 3:21 The like figure whereunto [even] baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth
of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation
of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
We Believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling
the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom
also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
1Th 4:8 He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy
Spirit.
We Believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved
unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
Act 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection
of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath
no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
