From the King James Version of the Holy Bible
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
GOD'S WORD IS LIFE AND HEALTH
Proverbs 4:20-22
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear
unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22 For they are life unto
those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
GOD'S WORD IS POWERFUL
Hebrews 4:12-16
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Neither is there any creature
that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of
God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched
with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
John 8:32
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free.
Jeremiah 30:17
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will
heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because
the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim
liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound
2 To proclaim
the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise
for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be
glorified.
BELIEVE
John 14: 10-14
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father,
and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth
the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me
for the very works' sake.
12 | Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the
works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
ASK
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the
Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 16:23-24
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily,
verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing
in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
1John3:22-23
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because
we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should
believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1 John 5:12-15
12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that
hath not the Son of God hath not life.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe
on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son
of God.
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according
to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that
we have the petitions that we desired of him.
CALL FOR THE ELDERS
James 5:13-16
13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is
any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the
church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And
the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven
him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.
The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
DON'T GIVE UP
Matthew 7:7-11
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye
shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth;
and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is
there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish,
will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your
children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
FEAR NOT
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but
of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Psalm 31:24
Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your
heart, all you who hope in the Lord.
Isaiah 35:3-4
Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble
knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the
recompense of God; He will come and save you."
Zechariah 10:12
So I will strengthen them in the Lord, and they
shall walk up and down in His name, says the Lord.
LUKE 8:49
While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler
of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master.
50 But
when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.
Psalm 91
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and
my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of
the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under
his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be
afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence
that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall
fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only
with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made
the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall
thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over
thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash
thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the
dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will
I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon
me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
WAIT ON THE LORD
Psalm 27:14
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall
strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!
Isaiah 40:29-31
He gives power to the weak, and to those who
have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those
who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary,
they shall walk and not faint.

to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19* To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20* And he closed the
book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened
on him.
21* And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
JESUS COMMANDS THOSE WHO BELIEVE TO HEAL THE SICK
Mr 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and
preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but
he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In
my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up
serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right
hand of God.
20* And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them,
and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

GIFTS OF HEALING
1Co 12:
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not
have you ignorant.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there
are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations,
but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given
to every man to profit withal.
&8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom;
to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit;
to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles;
to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of
tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally
as he will.
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one
body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all
speak with tongues? do all interpret?
INTERCEDE FOR THE SICK Nu 12:13 And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal
her now, O God, I beseech thee.

we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot
be uttered.

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the
mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Heb 7:25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost
that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
HEB 4:14
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is
passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15* For we
have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as
we are, yet without sin.
16* Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we
may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
HEB 5:1
For
every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices
for sins:
2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for
that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.
REPENT AND BE HEALED

Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people,

I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.

for mine anger is turned away from him.
Mt 13:15
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears
are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their
ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
VISIT THE SICK
Mt 25:
31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all
the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32* And before him shall be gathered all nations:
and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33* And he shall set the
sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34* Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye
blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35* For I was an hungred,
and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36* Naked, and ye clothed
me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37* Then shall the righteous answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38* When saw we thee a stranger, and
took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39* Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40* And
the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these
my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41* Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed,
into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42* For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was
thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43* I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and
in prison, and ye visited me not.
44* Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst,
or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45* Then shall he answer them, saying,
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46* And these shall
go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

thee.

be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

HEALING STORIES FROM THE BIBLE
FRIENDS "RAISE THE ROOF" TO GET TO JESUS
Mark 2:1
And again he entered into Capernaum after some days;
and it was noised that he was in the house.
2 And straightway many were gathered together,
insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3* And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4* And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when
they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5* When Jesus
saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6* But
there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7* Why doth
this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8* And immediately when
Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your
hearts?
9* Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee;
or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10* But that ye may know that the Son of man
hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11* I say unto thee,
Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took
up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it
on this fashion.
SAUL HEALED AFTER BEING STRUCK BLIND
Ac 9:
10* And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias;
and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. 11* And the Lord said unto him, Arise,
and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold,
he prayeth, 12* And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive
his sight. 13* Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at
Jerusalem: 14* And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. 15* But the Lord said
unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children
of Israel: 16* For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. 17* And Ananias went his way, and entered
into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way
as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. 18* And immediately
there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
AENEAS HEALED OF PALSY
Ac 9:
32* And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters,
he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. 33* And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his
bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. 34* And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and
make thy bed. And he arose immediately. 35* And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.
TABITHA (DORCAS) BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE
36* Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full
of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37* And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they
had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38* And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that
Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 39* Then Peter arose and
went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing
the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 40* But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and
prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41*
And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. 42* And it
was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.
SNAKE BITES PAUL AND FATHER OF PUBLIUS HEALED OF FEVER AND BLOODY FLUX
Acts 28:
1* And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita. 2* And the barbarous
people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and
because of the cold. 3* And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of
the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4* And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves,
