Living in Tents and Waiting for the Foundations

March 21, 2007

The LORD God gave this message to me three years ago during my devotion meditation time with Him.

G. R. A. P. E. S? What is it?

G.R.A.P.E.S. is a new debilitating spiritual disease that causes a person not to believe, see, accept or have faith in the LORD God Jesus Christ.

G---Greed

R---Rebellion

A---Arrogance

P---Pride

E---Ego

S---Selfishness

The symptoms of G.R.A.P.E.S. are:

  • Having other gods before the One True and Most High God.

  • Creating graven images and worshiping them.

  • Taking the name of the LORD God in vain.

  • Not remembering the sabbath and not keeping it holy.

  • Not honoring their father and mother.

  • Killing.

  • Committing adultery.

  • Stealing.

  • Bearing false witness against neighbor.

  • Coveting.

  • Lying.

  • Lusting after the things of the flesh.

Many people in the Holy Bible had this disease.  Here is a list of ones that had this disease and their impact on themselves and/or family.

Gehazi---2 Kings 5:20-27---Greed, Rebellion, Ego, Selfishness.

Children of Israel---Exodus 32---Greed, Rebellion, Arrogance, Pride, Ego and Selfishness.

Nebuchadnezzar---Daniel 3---Greed, Arrogance, Pride and Ego.

Korah (and many leaders)---Numbers 16---Greed, Rebellion, Pride, Ego and Selfishness.

Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem---Nehemiah 6---Rebellion, Arrogance, Pride and Ego.

Haman---Esther 3---Greed, Arrogance, Pride, Ego and Selfishness.

King Saul---1 Samuel 13:1-15---Greed, Rebellion Arrogance, Pride, Ego and Selfishness

Saul (became Apostle Paul)---Acts 9:1-9---Greed, Arrogance, Pride and Ego.

Shepherds of Israel---Ezekiel 34:1-10---Greed, Rebellion, Arrogance, Pride, Ego and Selfishness.

What is the "cure" for G.R.A.P.E.S.?

Realizing that no one is righteous in this world---Romans 3:10.

Only one can become righteous in the eyes of the LORD God by contrite repentance toward Him.  The LORD's eyes are toward the righteous, but is against ones who practice evil---1 Peter 3:12.

Asking Him for forgiveness of all sins, known or unknown.

Not everyone who says LORD, LORD is going to be in the kingdom of heaven---Matthew 7:21-23.

So, it is vital that you come to the LORD in a humble heart, and keep His commandments---1 John 2:3-5.

After repenting, asking forgiveness of all your sins, and you will become a new creation in Christ Jesus.  The LORD God by His Holy Spirit will transform you into what He desires for His purpose and will in your life.

Also, it is highly important you read the Holy Bible daily and do what it says because obeying the LORD God will help you to stay on the straight and narrow road that leads to life.

Ask the the LORD God for His Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ to give you undertanding and wisdom when reading the Word of God, Holy Bible.  Also, ask the LORD God to help you to do and act on the Word of God by His Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.

We cannot serve wo masters---Matthew 6:24.

Do not allow satan the devil to blind your mind---2 Corinthians 4:4.

HOW DO WE PREPARE FOR THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST?

“LORD, THAT OUR EYES MAY BE OPENED.”

July 07, 2006

Matthew 20:29 – 34

And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.

And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.

And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?

They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.

So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Lessons learned.

The two blind men were waiting for Jesus to come by.

The two blind men heard and they were listening for Jesus to come by.

A large crowd was following Jesus, and this crowd followed Him for various reasons.

The large crowd did not follow Jesus to help, serve, or bless others and to bless God.

The large crowd followed for selfish reasons such as, out of pride and arrogance to be seen and/or to be known by others.

Two blind men cried out to Jesus, very loudly, so as to be heard over the large crowd following Jesus.

If the multitude were following Jesus to be His servants or disciples, they would not have told the two blind men to be quiet.

Multitude was not compassionate and did not have love in their hearts to help the two blind men.

When Jesus heard the to blind men crying out the second time more loudly than the first, Jesus paused and “stood still.”

Jesus wants us to have tenacity and determination in our pursuit and petition toward Him.

Jesus “called them” (the two blind men); Jesus responded to the two blind men and healed them to receive their sight when they:

  1. Cried out to Him with a persistent heart
  2. Cried out to Him with a pure, true, genuine heart
  3. Cried out to Him with a patient heart

Two blind men had:

    1. Patient heart for Jesus
    2. Persistent heart for Jesus
    3. Pure heart for Jesus

After the two blind men were healed by receiving their sight, “they followed him.”  The two blind men did not have to think about it or ponder over the issue of following Jesus now or later.  The LORD God has mercies on us and blesses us daily and we still choose not follow Jesus.
